According to Tholons Inc., Krakow came in 4^th, and Poland overall 10^th for outsourcing destinations throughout the entire world. This illustrates a recent improvement in Krakow's relative success for outsourcing, since last year, the city came in 5^th globally and 16^th the year before. Regionally, the country is faring even better. In Central and Eastern Europe, Krakow was ranked the #1 city for BPO sites, which is significant, especially considering that roughly ¼ of the 50 best cities for outsourcing are concentrated in this European neighborhood. Poland in general is said to be the most formidable candidate for outsourcing in CEE and is hailed as an incredibly strategic location for businesses with a desired client base in Western Europe and Scandinavia. Credit for Poland's desirability as an outsourcing center is given in part to its "well-developed net of good office space [and] the wide spectrum of service types provided in a number of languages [...]"
